Hillside Residence

Budapest, Hungary

Context
A heavily altered 1990s residence offered exceptional views but lacked coherence and connection to contemporary family life. The challenge was to uncover its hidden potential while creating a calm and enduring home.
Sometimes the best design begins by removing rather than adding. Through careful simplification, we revealed the building’s natural strengths and allowed light, proportion and openness to define the new living experience.
The residence now feels generous, balanced and effortlessly liveable. Every intervention strengthens the relationship between architecture, landscape and family life, creating a home designed to endure for generations.
